A general guideline to follow is to multiply your daily ice production by 1.5 or 2.0.
For example, 30 US tons of daily ice production x 2 days = 60 US tons of ice storage required
Most businesses operates five days per week with a weekend shut down, allowing approximately two days of ice production for the next week of operations – this weekend run will need to be factored into your storage calculations.
